Students and staffs celebrated women’s day in a grand way. Lot of competition conducted for fashion designing students, tailoring students, embroidery students and beautician students. Students enjoyed with fun games like passing the bowl, throwing the ring, pebbles game etc., Medals and shields were given to the winners. Students those who have completed their course, received the course completion certificate.

This dress was designed for 4 year girl child. Kids traditional dress is pavadai, sattai. Applique work was done on the front neck part. It gives grand look for the dress.
Embroidery work on saree pallu
Normally we stitch the pallu with extended seam or peacoa. In this designer world, people wants to wear something different from others.
In this saree our students designed with machine embroidery work. Scalloping design and satin stitch are used here. It looks so beautiful.

Ladies wear nighty during night time. It is more comfortable to wear. This designer nighty is stitched by our student Shalini. She stitched this with cotton cloth .
Patch work was done on the neck part, on the top of the patch hand embroidery running stitch was stitched, edges of the neck was done with thread piping .

Ruffles sleeves for decorating purpose
There are different types of sleeves, ruffles sleeves are used for decorating purpose. The longer side should be cut along the lengthwise grain of the material.
For circular ruffle,a strip of fabric is cut in a circular shape.

Step frock was Designed and stitched by Mrs. Helpzi. It is made by satin cloth and netted cloth .
Plain netted cloth are used as a frills. These lines added width to the garment and decrease the apparent height. Self coloured will not shorten the height of the outfit as well as wearer.
This dress is suitable for 2 year kid. Fancy artificial flowers are made with satin cloth, button was stitched on the middle of the flower.
